West Plains Farmers’ Market Partners with Giving Back Packs
The organizers of the West Plains Farmers’ Market made a conclusion that we would not look to profit from this years’ market. We all wanted to give the local community an opportunity to conduct their grocery shopping and support local businesses with their organic, fresh, and locally harvested produce.
Alongside the opportunity to support local businesses, West Plains Farmers’ Market is proud to have partnered with Giving Back Packs, a grassroots homeless outreach program, created by Rick Clarke. This project is designed to meet people where they are in life and connect them with their community by offering them a new backpack filled with toiletries, food, water, clothing, and other essentials! Offering real resources and kindness without strings attached is a hand up, not a hand out. Each backpack is filled with love and hope.
All of the proceeds from this years’ vendor and stall fees will be donated in support of Giving Back Packs to help combat homelessness within The Lilac City.
